What is Micro-Exfoliation?The DiamondSkin is an effective treatment to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, brown spots, scars, and acne blemishes. This latest technology utilized natural diamond chips plated to a stainless steel surgical wand that effectively polishes away dead skin layers to expose healthier skin and promote new growth.
Resurfacing using a DiamondSkin is similar to particle microdermabrasion and chemical peels in its results, but without the adverse effects of loose Aluminum-Oxide particles, skin irritation, and other adverse skin reactions. Unlike other exfoliation treatments, the DiamondSkin system uses no loose abrasives to contaminate you or the environment.
The FDA-approved DiamondSkin is setting a new standard for skin care. The procedure is fast, predictable, and painless… the PERFECT lunch hour peel.
Microdermabrasion is the highest volume non-invasive aesthetic procedure requested by patients.
The procedure has proven to be clinically effective to treat or diminish:
How you benefit from having a microdermabrasion procedure done:
The DiamondSkin Microdermabrasion system uses oxygen infusion technology to help speed up collagen production and soothe the newly exfoliated skin. The underlying epidermis is also stimulated by abrasion and the vacuum. This promotes the generation of new collagen and reveals new living skin cells, which thickens the dermis and improves resistance to the effects of aging.
We offer the FDA approved medical microdermabrasion. We use natural diamonds- the toughest known substance to man, to polish the skin and remove surface layer of dead skin cells. Although results are noticeable after just one session- we recommend a series of these treatments to produce best results.
This is truly a no-downtime procedure which can be fitted in your lunch hour. It can also be combined with other procedures that we offer. This is a very cost effective procedure and ideal for people who would like something more than lotions and potions but are not ready or do not want laser, botox, fillers or chemical peels.

Skin resurfacing is a treatment that improves wrinkles, skin texture and color by removing the topmost layer of skin leaving it more supple and vibrant. Skin resurfacing also stimulates the elastic tissue beneath the surface of the skin resulting in a healthier and firmer appearance. A wonderful alternative or compliment to chemical peels, the Diamond microdermabrasion treatment is non-invasive, pain-free and requires no down time after treatment.
The length of the treatment and number of treatments vary depending on skin type and condition. Results are gradual but highly effective. Most people experience softer, smoother skin after their first treatment. Made of surgical grade stainless steel, each wand tip is embedded with natural diamond chips sifted to the exact micron size. Wands are available in different micron chip sizes to insure proper resurfacing for each individual's skin type. Selecting the appropriate diamond-wand, along with the adjustable vacuum, allows for a controlled abrasion of the skin. Recent studies have demonstrated about 45% thickness in skin after a series of microdermabrasion procedures. It also kick starts the skin regeneration process.
The ancient Egyptians are said to be the first to use dermabrasion skin care techniques to improve their skin. Kings and queens used alabaster and pumice to remove blemishes and rough spots and make their skin smooth and soft. In the mid-90's a skin care technique using aluminum oxide powder for microdermabrasion was developed in Italy. The process uses vacuum and a small orifice to accelerate the powder. Aluminum oxide abrades the skin and the vacuum cleans out blocked pores. Some machines use salt crystals to abrade the skin but salt crystals are uneven and soft.
Diamond microdermabrasion is the latest form of this treatment and has following advantages over crystal microdermabrasion.
Diamond skin resurfacing offers benefits to anyone who wants to improve specific skin conditions and rejuvenate the overall health and appearance of their skin.
For people on the go, a exfoliation treatment using the Diamond medical microdermabrasion offers exceptional benefits. Ideal for a special event or as a program for overall skin rejuvenation, this treatment iis non-invasive, painless and requires no downtime from work or social activities. Normal activities may be resumed immediately after treatment. Your skin is free of redness, irritation and particle contamination.
You should not have a microdermabrasion treatment if you have recent herpes outbreak, warts, active weeping acne (stages 3-4), active rosacea, unstable diabetes, auto-immune system disorders, recent laser surgery, recent start of Retin A, recent medium/ deep chemical peel, recent waxing, and if prone to hyper pigmentation. Active eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, vascular lesions (haemangiomas or “port-wine-stains) and telangiectases (“broken capillaries”). You must not have it if you are HIV or hepatitis B or C positive. Bleeding disorders, warfarin and aspirin therapy are relative contraindications. Accutane therapy should have been stopped at least 2 months before the procedures.
Clients should come for a treatment every two weeks. A proper skin care program combined with microdermabrasion is key and will augment and enhance the results of the treatment. A series of 6-12 treatments can be carried out. After this you can have maintenance treatments once every three months. The fact that microdermabrasion is performed in a series of treatments allows the clinician to gradually and safely take the skin to new levels of health and beauty without compromising its delicate nature.
After the microdermabrasion procedure What is oxygen facial?
After the microdermabrasion procedure, we apply a mask to your face and can turn up the oxygen flow in order to give you a complete "Oxygen Facial".
The oxygen oxidizes the oily sebum found inside the pores, helping to eliminate the oil as a food source for bacteria which have a role in active acne.
Experiencing initial dryness, flaking, and a feeling of a mild sunburn is a normal result of the procedure. Excessive swelling or pain must be reported, because it may indicate the onset of an infection. Combined UVA and UVB sun protection should be used to prevent potential hyper pigmentation. In addition, the skin should be kept well hydrated. Makeup can be applied immediately if there is no weeping in the treated area. You may experience some crusting from dried serum after aggressive microdermabrasion when performing superficial scar revision or stretch mark treatments.
